Labor Relations: A Foundation of Partnership and Growth
Strong, stable labor relations are the cornerstone of NECA Boston’s longstanding partnership with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in Greater Boston, Maine, and New Hampshire. Together, we’ve built a relationship rooted in mutual respect, shared goals, and a commitment to advancing the electrical construction industry.

NECA Boston plays a leading role in promoting labor stability for the benefit of our contractors, their workforce, and the clients they serve. We are proud of our history of constructive and responsible labor relations—upheld over the decades by the Chapter and our member contractors.

We represent our contractors in collective bargaining, contract administration, and dispute resolution with IBEW Local 103 (Greater Boston), Local 490 (New Hampshire), Local 567 (Southern Maine), and Local 1253 (Northern Maine). This collaboration has helped ensure consistent project delivery, fair labor
practices, and a highly skilled workforce across the region.

Our efforts have contributed to uninterrupted productivity and measurable cost savings for the industry and its clients. NECA Boston also actively supports and participates in key industry trust funds that strengthen our labor-management partnership, including health and welfare, pension, annuity, apprenticeship, and labor-management funds.
