We are pleased to share Governor Maura Healey has made good on her February promise to reopen state wide vendor contracts. This comes as a result of NECA Boston’s advocacy, which helped SDO and OSD, the state’s purchasing agency, identify and prioritize which contracts should be reopened.

The Operational Services Division (OSD) announced the reopening of the Trades Statewide Contracts to add additional vendors. These contracts provide a variety of Trades services to state agencies, Massachusetts cities and towns, public schools, housing authorities, and many other organizations.

The following contracts are reopening in May 2024 to add additional vendors:

  • TRD01- Boilers; Drains; Electrical; Fencing; General Contracting; Generator/ Turbine; Glass/Window/Doors; HVAC/ Sheet Metal; Painting; Plumbing; and Solar Array Inspection Services
  • TRD03 - Elevator; Exhaust; Fire Detection; Fire Suppression; Overhead Doors; Signage; and Welding Services

Next Steps:

The reopening of these contracts will fill out service categories that currently have insufficient coverage across the state and provide opportunities for trades businesses to work with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Businesses interested in working with the state are encouraged to take the following steps to express interest in these Statewide Contract bid opportunities.

  1. Get registered in COMMBUYS, the state’s purchasing and procurement system.
  2. Review the bid opportunity, once posted.
  3. Submit a quote.
