JATC Welcomes New Training Leadership Team

This month, the Greater Boston JATC proudly announced the appointments of Jay DeMello as Training Director and Dan Naughton as Assistant Training Director. They will continue to be joined by assistant training director, Chris Antonellis.

A respected educator and industry veteran, Jay DeMello served his apprenticeship at Norfolk-Gens Electric, graduating in 1989. He obtained his Journeyman license in 1988 and his Master's in 1990. He began teaching at JATC part-time in 1992 before transitioning to a full-time day instructor in 2015. “JATC has entrusted me with the Training Director position at the JATC of Greater Boston, and I am honored with the opportunity and responsibility,” he said.

Joining him is Dan Naughton, a 28-year member of Local 103 who began his career in the trades after three years of active duty in the U.S. Army. Dan brings extensive field experience to the position, having served as an operator, journeyman, and foreman, along with over a decade of experience in teaching and curriculum development. He has also represented the IBEW on national NFPA code and standards committees since 2018.

Please join us in congratulating Jay and Dan as they take the lead in building the future of electrical training in Greater Boston.
