Back to School: Ample Education Opportunities and Initiatives to Electrify Your Success
Dear members,
As we turn over a new leaf into the fall, NECA Boston is excited to offer an expanded network of training programs, events, initiatives and more to build your businesses, careers and expertise while we “head back to school.”
We’re excited to help you remain at the forefront of innovation as industry-leading electrical and telecom contractors, starting with our informative October Sessions (read more below).
Also, take advantage of the amplified opportunities in the EV market with our special Electric Vehicle Charging Essentials session on October 7. It’s one of our many upcoming programs on the burgeoning industry that’s receiving billions of dollars of funding in the Commonwealth.
We’re also proud to announce our Inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summit in November, which will feature renowned experts with sessions designed to benefit and inform everyone in the industry.
Industry-Leading Apprentices Expanding our Success Network into the Future
We welcome the new classes of the JATC Training Programs in Local 103, Boston, Local 490, New Hampshire and Local 567 & 1253, Maine, who started this month at some of the most prestigious apprenticeship programs with strong leadership.
By the numbers:
L1253: 33 1st years, 15% Diversity
L567: 35 1st years – 9% Diversity
L490: 16 1st years – 6% Diversity
L103: 375 1st year – 51% diversity
In partnership with IBEW Local 103, 490, 567, 1253, we are not only building a sustainable future of electrical and telecom contractors, but also expanding your network of talent. In this tight labor market, this pipeline of responsible and responsive apprentices is a talent pool we are dedicated to helping you rely on. Our workforce is our greatest asset.
And we are happy to – literally - be returning to campus by bringing our NECA Boston Student Chapters back at Wentworth Institute of Technology and Ben Franklin Institute. We look forward to teaching students about the electrical and telecom trade industry and brightening their path forward.

We look forward to joining you “back in school” as our network continues to be at the forefront of industry success.
Sincerely,
Kristen Gowin
